Learning to ride a Bicycle

Falling off of a bicycle with skinned knees into the safety of earth and grass and mud and
Laughing at the MR SERIOUS clown face down,
good to fall from grace, humiliation, dis-grace,
falling still further,
down to the empathic,
“Oh I feel that too” or
falling even deeper through the sea,
to clouds to rain to river to sea,
washed in a circle;
like the wheels on my bicycle,
with old cards from Valentines
never sent,
flapping in the spokes,
with clothes pins and
my failed trades of radishes,
for birthday cake,
going round and round
on the edge of a cliff,
a razors edge by the sea here
from grace to dis-grace,
from dis-grace to grace,
rocking and rolling
just being
what I don’t know

Help

I identified with this, it made me smile. Have done that with the wheel spokes. lol

from grace to dis-grace,
from dis-grace to grace,
rocking and rolling
just being
what I don’t know
I love the tumbling quality of this poem… the most intoxicating unknown is one's own life isnt' it! Yes indeed I say!
Thank You Catherine! Yes, the aim is not to be not lame, its to be in love even if that means I'm lame, because I'm not it. It's my children, my wife, the people I care about, trees, stones, the sea and I am them, when I love and I agree to be lame or beautiful. or forgotten. It doesn't matter which because we are the love, not the images that point to the love.
So Beautiful!
You are very expressive.
Thanks for allowing us a glimpse into your heart!
It definitely warmed mine. :-)
Thank you Lisha!
Wanna a Valetine's card? It says “Be mine”
*Giggles* :-)
thank you for getting me here to read this.. great metaphor, isn't it just? ;-)
here's another in regard to the ego pedalling:
backpedalling wildly is much more difficult
than getting it right the first time..
