In the Mist

Have you ever stood outside
At night in the mist
Looked up at the darkened sky
Felt the cool air on your face
And your lips silently form the words
I love you
And you want those words
To reverberate through all
The dark matter
To vibrate in the energy fields
The brown grass
Where you lay down
To imagine clouds drifting through the blue
You want those words to travel
On those imagined clouds
And if you should be in the mist of them
You’ll feel those words
And the magic is
I feel them too
Help

Have I ever? Yes, yes, and yes!
Feeling the energy of reverberating words melting into love-mist, and the disappearance of separation between *I* and *you* as love works its magic.
Thank you for these words!
Ruth
Hi Ruth and TY!
It's good to get lost in the mist huh? :-)
This morning while getting that first cup of coffee and making my son's lunch, while my fragile dreams where lifting and I remembered I had written this last night before I drifted off. I let out a gasp! And my wife asked “what's wrong?”
I lied and said it was something I just remembered from work. Ironic!
Then again it was Before that first cup! Lol!
This is beautiful.
Yes I have.
I have - in the mist.
I have - feeling the warm midnight wind on my skin.
I have - in the silence of snow.
I have - in the rain.
TY Joanna!
So you heard me?
Isn't funny how line, distance, time, you, me all dissolve into that numinous moment we whisper?
The fragility of the poem enhances its beauty!
I have. And, had confirmations the words were heard - by at least those present within my thoughts at the moment of speaking.
Within the deeper realms, there is no distance :)
TY soleil!
It's only the thought that we are something that takes up space, that is on a linear path of time that creates distance. But the truth is everything you can imagine is right here/now. :-)
This is one of your best yet dear Doug! Thank you for bringing this for us to share!
TY Jami! The other day I was thinking about what poetry is and I thought that perhaps it is everything that is wordless, can not be said that ironically is expressed using words. It also occurred to me that we are that too.
